What happens when a church gets all the doctrine right but forgets to love? In this study of Revelation chapter 2, we dive into the first two letters Jesus wrote to the seven churches — Ephesus and Smyrna.

The church in Ephesus was a pioneer congregation planted in the middle of a pagan city of 250,000 people, home to the Temple of Diana and all the immorality that came with it. They knew their doctrine. They tested false apostles. They endured hardship. They hated the practices of the Nicolaitans. Jesus commended them for all of it.

But then came the "BUT." "You have abandoned the love you had at first...."
